(including the /market dashboard). It also explains your choices and rights.

Who we are
Notional.Trade (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website at notional.trade.
Scope
This policy applies to the Notional.Trade site pages (for example /, /privacy-policy, etc.)
and the market dashboard under /market.
Information we collect
We collect information from three main sources: (1) information you provide (if any), (2) information collected automatically when you use the site, and (3) information from service providers used to operate the site.
Information you provide
Notional.Trade does not currently require you to create an account on the site. If you send us messages or feedback outside the site (for example by email), we will receive the information you choose to share (such as your name, email address, and message).
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our server and infrastructure may automatically process technical information such as your IP address, device and browser information, pages requested, timestamps, referrer URL, and diagnostic events for security and reliability. These logs may be generated by our hosting/reverse proxy stack.
Local storage and similar technologies
We store your theme preference in your browser under notional-trade-theme so the site and the market app can
remember Light/Dark mode. This setting is stored locally in your browser and is not intended for cross-site tracking.
Real-time connections
The market dashboard and the site left-panel tickers may use real-time connections (Socket.IO/WebSocket) to receive market updates and snapshot data. These connections necessarily involve network metadata (such as IP address) as part of normal internet communications.
Diagnostics and troubleshooting logs
To keep the service stable, the market dashboard may send limited diagnostic logs to the server (for example, error messages, connection issues, and operational events). These logs are used for reliability, debugging, and abuse prevention.
How we use information
We use information to operate and improve Notional.Trade, including to: maintain site functionality; deliver real-time market data; prevent abuse; debug issues; and keep our systems secure.
Legal bases (EEA/UK visitors)
Where the GDPR/UK GDPR applies, we generally rely on legitimate interests to operate, secure, and improve the website and to prevent abuse. Where we rely on consent (for example, if we introduce optional non-essential cookies in the future), you can withdraw consent at any time by changing your browser settings or the relevant on-site controls.
Sharing and third parties
We may share information with service providers that help us operate the site (for example hosting, reverse proxy/CDN, and monitoring), and with vendors whose scripts we load to provide functionality. For example, the market dashboard uses third-party CDN-hosted libraries (such as Chart.js) which may receive your IP address as part of standard content delivery.
International data transfers
Depending on where our infrastructure and service providers are located, information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers (such as contractual protections) provided by our vendors.
Retention
We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy. For example, server/security logs and diagnostic logs are typically retained for a limited period (often days to a few months) and then deleted or rotated, unless we need them longer to investigate abuse or incidents.
Security
We take reasonable measures designed to protect information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights and choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or object to certain processing of personal data. You can also control local storage/cookies via your browser settings. To make a privacy request, contact us using the details below.
Children’s privacy
Notional.Trade is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above.
